iBooks
can send data or files to:
- Mail — PDFs or selected text in books can be attached or embedded in emails
- Messages —PDFs or selected text from IBooks can be sent as Messages
- Notes — PDFs or selected text from iBbooks can be attached to Notes
- Photos — images in iBooks can be click-held to save as a photo
- Safari — URL links in a book's text can be clicked to open in Safari
Can Receive data or files from:
- Mail — PDFs and some other Mail attachments can be saved to iBooks.
(In iOS 10, emails themselves can be "printed to PDF" into iBooks.)
- Messages — images and PDFs received in Messages can be saved into iBooks
- Notes — images and PDFs in Notes can be saved to iBooks
- Photos — images in Photos can be saved to iBooks as new PDF documents, which means anything you can get into Photos as an image can be moved on into iBooks.
- Safari — PDFs and entire webpages can be saved from Safari into iBooks as PDFs
