Support for Older Systems
Attention FileMaker Users! As of September 2008, FileMaker, Inc. will
end technical support for FileMaker 7 products. Support
for pre-7 versions was discontinued earlier. Only versions 8–9 will remain eligible for
product support directly from FileMaker, Inc.
Data ex Machina supports all FileMaker versions from 6.5 through
9.
Notices on Recent Operating Systems and FileMaker Software Updates
Windows VISTA has not been certified with
pre-2007 versions of FileMaker. Existing files
generally run on VISTA, but you should install FileMaker software updates before moving to
VISTA. FileMaker Pro 9 is recommended.
Macintosh OSX 10.5 has not been certified
for pre-2007 versions of FileMaker. Existing files
generally run on 10.5,
but some images placed in FileMaker container fields while running OS 10.4 or
earlier may not display properly until re-imported while running OSX 10.5.
